WHAT IS AWT?
Acoustic Wave Therapy device is a body shaping, cellulite and regional slimming device of German-Swiss origin, produced by STORZ Medical for the first time in the world. It can be used all over the body and face. It is an FDA approved and patented treatment method.
Its biggest and unique difference from all its other counterparts; It reduces fat in a healthy way by triggering the own physiological mechanisms of the fat tissue (adipose tissue) without using heat - hot or cold - that is, without creating a thermal effect on the subcutaneous fat tissue. It has a full-thickness effect on fat tissue, muscle tissue, lymph vessels and skin with the high-amplitude sound waves used to break kidney stones. Moreover, this effect can optionally be applied to either 1 cm thick tissue or 12 cm thick tissue.
This can be adjusted with special applicators and heads, providing a variety of applications according to the thickness and quality of the tissue. It would actually be more accurate to describe this effect of AWT as "Full Layer Tissue Activation".
AWT MECHANISM OF ACTION
It increases local circulation and provides tissue nutrition.
It provides elastic and taut skin by increasing collagen synthesis through mechanical stimulation in and under the skin.
It eliminates the orange peel appearance of cellulite by separating the fibrous septa under the skin with acoustic waves.
It provides lipofragmentation by breaking down the fat tissue with mechanical effect (increasing the phospholipid membrane permeability).
The liberated brown storage fat - that is, immobile fat - tissue is metabolized by entering the circulation with the lymphatic drainage triggered by AWT. For this reason, it is widely used abroad in post-liposuction applications.
By stimulating the muscle tissue (in the area where it is applied) with a mechanical effect, it provides the muscle condition and muscle quality of a person who does sports regularly. (With this effect, it is already used in sports medicine, including many football and volleyball teams all over the world and in Turkey.)
It has been proven by clinical studies both in Turkey and the world that it increases the general metabolic rate at least twice - even while dieting - and activates the Lipid Peroxidase (LPO) enzyme, which helps burn fat.
So in summary; It is an effective device that can perform full-layer tissue work with a single device, instead of prolonging the application time with multiple devices or apparatus used as a platform system on the same device. All other equivalent systems try to melt fat by creating a hot or cold "Thermal Effect" in the subcutaneous fat tissue, either with Radiofrequency, Ultrasonic energy and laser heat, or cryolipolysis methods. Moreover, they are trying to achieve this effect at a depth of only 3 cm. What happens when fatty tissue is affected by heat or chemical effects? While this situation sometimes causes fibrosis, stiffness and asymmetries in the subcutaneous tissue, it can also cause sagging and color changes in the skin.

AWT PLUS AND AWT ULTRA
It is available in two models: AWT Plus and AWT Ultra. While the Plus model only has a pneumatic Shock Wave head, the Ultra model has an Electromagnetic Shock Wave head. With this title, serious results are obtained in regional slimming, and the follow-up of the treatment can be evaluated objectively by measuring the fat tissue thickness with ultrasonic imaging integrated into the device. In other words, there is no discussion of environmental measurement or visual improvement with the patient.
